Greek housing master plan
college of william & mary
williamsburg, VA

Consisting of several conceptual master planning studies, the College of William & Mary hired M/M to reveal the most appropriate and well-suited site on campus for a new Greek housing precinct.  The College was seeking to increase housing on campus by creating a fraternity complex to accommodate 200-250 beds in an arrangement which balances the separation of correctly sized chapter houses with the economies derived from centralized co-location of community support spaces where appropriate.  M/M investigated multiple sites while exploring a range of housing options, site plan configurations and building types that correctly reflect the established architectural character and scale of the college.  A major goal of the project included strengthening the connectivity while providing an individual but unifying character to each house.
