Jefferson Commons is a 100-bed student residence located less than fifty meters from the University of Virginia.  The project replaced four nondescript smaller apartment buildings with one large building that doubles the site's bed count while providing a singular architectural composition.  Parking is provided below grade, carefully hidden from view.  The building is located in an important architectural control district and a designated City Entrance Corridor, requiring to meet strict design guidelines mandated by the city's Board of Architectural Review.  This state-of-the-art student housing building was the recipient of the 2008 Outstanding Plan of Development Award given by the Charlottesville Planning Commission.
