PRA INTERNATIONAL

Comprising 80,000 sf, this building is the first major structure to be built at the University of Virginia's new 562-acre Research Park at the North Fork of the Rivanna River, north of Charlottesville. Sited on the edge of a proposed new mixed-use, urban-scaled Town Center, this building is designed to provide cutting-edge office space while still following the park's design code, as well as taking its aesthetic cues from the well-proportioned, clear and intuitive, timelessly articulate Classical character of the University's other buildings on and around Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village.

Together with Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company, Mitchell/Matthews is master planning the entire research park, about which more information is available in our "Urban Planning" project session.
