AUGUSTA SQUARE

Situated in Augusta County, Virginia, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Augusta Square will be a new, traditional, pedestrian-oriented, environmentally responsible community. Based upon the urban models found in the neighboring historic settlements of Lexington, Staunton and Waynesboro, Augusta Square will provide a variety of single-family homes, townhouses, apartments, condominiums, live/work units, retail and commercial spaces, neighborhood parks, squares, trails and a town center with a central Village Green and a Crescent Plaza at the community's symbolic and physical heart. Mitchell/Matthews performed the master planning and wrote the architectural guidelines for this 3000 acre, 1300-unit traditional neighborhood development.
