The winning design scheme for the North Campus Residence Housing at Longwood University brings order and convenience to an underutilized and challenging parcel of land adjacent to the central campus. The approved Masterplan accepts future expansion, while the first phase provides 454 beds in a variety of apartment type units. The central green allows magnificent views to the agricultural landscape and rolling countryside beyond. The five-story buildings flank a multi-purpose commons building and dining patio. The architectural character and material palate are consistent with the legacy of the central campus.
