1115 Wertland : Charlottesville, VA

1115 Wertland Street provides housing for students within a few hundred yards from Jefferson's Rotunda at the University of Virginia.  Built on what was under utilized land in a historic neighborhood, it was designed in the regional vernacular Craftsman style, complimenting the surrounding neighborhood.  The building combines a timeless classical geometry with steep roof pitches, ganged fenestration and shingles.

Mitchell Matthews maintains an invaluable relationship with the developer of this project, Wade Apartments LLC.  Along with a few other multi-family projects entitled "Wertland", 1115  completed construction in 2007.  This 63,000 square foot housing development provides comfortable living for family and student residents of Charlottesville.
